Easier and More Efficient House Cleaning Tips!

by Sally Boone
(San Antonio, Texas, USA)

No one wants to live in a dirty house, but no one really enjoys cleaning it regularly. However, there are certain tips you can try to make your house cleaning regimen easier and more efficient.

By reading on, you will know that you should no longer have to slave your way to a cleaner house.

DIY Home Cleaning Schedule

It is virtually impossible to make your home spotless all at once. This is especially true if you have an already busy schedule.

If you have to take care of your kids daily, attend to your job or business, and other important activities, definitely cleaning the house is impossible to become a priority. If schedule is a problem, then you can't expect to get everything cleaned in one day.

The best way to solve this is to have different cleaning days for different parts of the house. For instance clean the bathroom today, kitchen tomorrow, and so on.

Investment

Before you buy several cleaning tools and supplies, it is best to identify the cleaning tasks at hand. For example, if you have a fully-carpeted floor, a vacuum cleaner is necessary. But if you have a tiled or wooden floor, what you need perhaps is a floor polisher.

Once you know what appropriate cleaning tools and supplies are needed by your house for cleaning, you can invest in durable yet affordable ones. This way you are not only saving on money, but on time and effort as well.

Motivation

You should try to avoid distractions while cleaning the house if you want to get the job done. There's no denying that cleaning on a weekend is a drag, so the best thing to do is get done with it as soon as possible.

Limit distractions like chatting on the phone or tuning in to the television. It's best if you have a deadline to beat in cleaning the house, say, for example, 30 minutes per room.

Try playing an upbeat music and wearing comfortable clothes to make you move a lot faster and keep you motivated.

Strategy

Many don't know just where exactly to start their cleaning. The right way to do this is to start from the top, going to the bottom.

For example, you remove cobwebs on the ceiling first, dust the pieces of furniture and other surfaces, then sweep the floor.

House cleaning doesn't have to be a drag, as long as you know how to do it properly and make it a little more enjoyable.
