Flood Your Lawn
Flood your lawn once a week during the dry season in your area with your sprinklers or a hose. Fleas are attracted to moist areas to lay eggs, but they cannot survive in water.
Spray the entire lawn with a pesticide specially formulated to kill fleas. To spare the expense of spraying the entire lawn, you can also target the areas where your pet has been. Concentrate your spray around a doghouse, under the porch, near the deck and on your outdoor furniture.
Time Your Spraying
Spray the yard or the flea-infested areas every three weeks if you live in a drier climate or your lawn cannot be flooded with water.
