i have heard that if you put mothballs around your yard it would keep snakes away. does this really work and if it does how? what is the best and cheapest way to get rid of snakes and moles in the yard?
Use Snakeaway or sulfur to keep snakes out of your yard. Just sprinkle around perimeter. Moles are very hard to kill. The best way is to kill the japenese bettle grub that is in the ground (the food moles look for). You do this with a product called Milky Spore. You can buy it in a canister which you put out i believe in a checkerboard pattern. You can also buy it in a bag which you can put out in a spreader. It is a disease that spreads through the grub families and should have all of them killed in probably about two years.
About the only other way I have had success is grab a shovel, pitchfork etc and start stabbing when you see the ground move!
