How to Save, Save, Spend and Save!

by Rachel Saunders
(San Diego, California, USA)

Are you on a limited budget? Do you find you are becoming depressed because you cannot spend money to buy the occasional luxury item? The secret to enjoying life when you are on a limited budget is to save, save, spend, and save. For example, if you can make three savings during the week, you may be able to treat yourself to one luxury item and still stay within your budget.

Save, Save, Spend, and Save on your Fitness Regime Save

Save money by purchasing a reusable water bottle. Over a million plastic water bottles are thrown away every month. You will save money if you purchase a reusable water bottle and fill it with cold water from your refrigerator.

Save
Search online for free fitness advice. Personal trainers regularly update free websites with valuable information showing you how to keep fit. You can Google the web pages of personal trainers, such as David Kirsch, for free exercises and advice.

Spend
Allow yourself the luxury of attending one fitness class a week. Participating with other people makes exercising easier. Choose a class, such as Tai Chi or Yoga that does not require the purchase of expensive equipment. This will enable you to practice your exercises at home during the rest of the week.

It is easy to make your own face masks. Here is a recipe for a face mask you can make using left-over ingredients in your refrigerator.

Mash the pulp of one avocado into a paste, add one tablespoon each of honey and plain yoghurt, and mix well. Apply the paste to your face and neck and leave on for about a quarter of an hour. Wash your face and neck with lukewarm water and pat dry with a soft towel.

Save
Cosmetics such as lipstick and eye-shadow must be replaced regularly Save money by not purchasing a large variety of these items. Choose two or three lipstick or eye-shadow colors and use only these colors until it is time to replace them.

If you have a variety of lipsticks and eye-shadows in your cosmetic drawer you will need to throw out lipstick and eye-shadow on a regular basis, because you will not be able to use all of the items within the correct time frame. Disposing of items that are only half-used is a waste of your money, so keep your selection of these items to a minimum.

Spend
Talk to a beauty specialist about purchasing cosmetics that will enhance your skin toning and eye color. You will save money in the long run, if you purchase cosmetics that enhance your appearance, because you will use them regularly and you are sure to feel attractive wearing make-up that is carefully chosen.

Save
Save money by making your own bath oil. A soothing bath, using chamomile oil, can make you feel healthy and happy. It can help cure feelings of melancholy or anxiety. Dilute twelve drops of chamomile oil with one tablespoon of olive oil and add this mixture to an empty bath. Turn on the taps and while you are waiting for the bath to fill, close the bathroom door so that the aroma of the bath oil lingers. This is an inexpensive way to enjoy a relaxing aromatic bath.
