Is This Stuff More Toxic Than Feeding Your Dog Euthanized Pets?
by: Anonymous

(Other potentially toxic things that will kill a dog include grapes, raisins, onions and onion powder (in many types of dips), alcoholic beverages, dried fruits, salt, and yeast dough.)

He meant the dip that you dip your chips in. My dogs love grapes, cooked onions & salt. They are 3,5 & 9 years old & just got another clean bill of health from the vet. I believe that if you give them large doses it could hurt them or many small doses to close together.

If you see what dog food is really made of you would ask yourself which is more dangerous...

Onion Powder
by: Anonymous

My 14 year old Lab/Chow recently passed away from a not to clear reason, But mainly shortness of breath..

After the loss of the Middle Lab, from cancer i wanted to give the remaining 2 a better diet.
I started cooking them Chicken Hind Quarters and Rice.

All good but i seasoned it with Onion and Garlic powder, Usually only the Garlic powder as i thought is was good for them.

But the fact is the Onion powder was used occasionally.

Bud Died from respiratory problems. I nopw know this is a symptom of Onion, Garlic Poisening.
I do not know if this is what killed him but I am sure it didn't help.

The other lab didn't seem to be affected by it. But my heart is broken Doubley that I may have been the very one to help in my beloved pets demise.

Please be careful.

Huh!

What kind of dip? I'm sure some sour cream and onion soup mix is not going to kill anything.
