Quick and Easy Landscape Tips!

by Fred Roundstone
(Angmering, West Sussex, UK)

There are many quick and easy landscape tips that make landscaping on your own much easier. First of all, assess the amount of space that you have to work with. Try to not plan too many things for too little space.

If you have a large area, think about having a long lawn, which will require little landscaping. If you have a small area, think about doing things much smaller and simpler.

Keeping things clean is a very important tip when it comes to landscaping. A clean and neat yard will look more landscaped than a dirty or cluttered one, even if you have done very little landscaping.

Keeping up your yard is very important, because it helps your home look nice, and it helps you take pride in where you live. It also makes landscaping much easier and much more successful.

You should try to think simply when it comes to landscaping. Deal with the things that are most obvious first, and work out from there.

For instance, if your yard goes right up to your house, and you don’t like the look of it, you can easily add flower or rock beds extending from the foundation of your home. Simply take bricks or other landscaping material and create and bed area around the foundation of your home.

Fill that area with rocks or other landscaping material. Be sure to lay down plastic so there is no vegetation that grows between your home and your brick line. Once you have filled in these beds, you can either plant flowers, have statues, or do other things to make your home look neat.

From there, proceed to lining your driveway or walkway with the same materials used to line your home. This will add consistency and tie in your yard.

After you have done this, you can continue by creating other things such as corner flower beds or ponds, which will also add to your landscaping over all.

Remember that landscaping is something you can keep simple and do little by little. As long as you keep your yard neat and trim in the mean time, a landscaping project is something you can do gradually over an entire summer.

You can keep adding things as you see fit, but remember not to let your yard get too cluttered up with landscaping! Keep it simple, and you will be rewarded with a beautiful yard that is easy to maintain!
