I have a pre-existing post light in my yard, that is being “fed” by UFC.This light IS NOT gfci protected.I am (all but) positive read something (somewhere) that states that a post light (in a yard) requires GFCI protection.
Does anybody know whether, or not the NEC requires that an exterior (yard) post light be GFCI protected?
If yes, where in the NEC does it state this?
Why take a chance? Call an electrician and have it rewired.
